OxyPet, the eco-conscious pet brand known for developing oxygen-infused spring water for dogs - particularly flat-faced breeds that can struggle with breathing and recovery - scooped the prestigious accolade in recognition of its commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible production.
The Business Awards UK is a recognised platform that celebrates companies leading the way in innovation, sustainability and positive social impact across a wide range of industries.
OxyPet’s win specifically highlights the company’s efforts to combine pet health with environmental responsibility.
The brand uses Prevented Ocean Plastic bottles, made from recycled plastic collected from coastal areas at risk of ocean pollution, alongside sustainable cardboard packaging, helping to reduce the environmental footprint of its products.
The award judges praised OxyPet for aligning its mission to support canine well-being with a strong commitment to sustainability.
Lindsey John Taylor, 45, from Essex and co-founder of OxyPet, said:
“This award is a tremendous honour for the whole team and a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
“We didn’t just want to create a product that could help dogs breathe more comfortably and recover better after exercise. From the very beginning, we also wanted to make sure it was produced in a way that respects the planet they walk on.
“For us, it’s about improving dogs’ quality of life while also being responsible about how our products are made and packaged.”
Karla Pearson, an OxyPet director, said the award was a welcome recognition of the company’s values.
“Our ethos has always been that pets’ wellbeing and environmental responsibility should go hand in hand,” she said.
“Pet parents care deeply about their animals, but they also care about the world those animals live in. It’s incredibly encouraging to see that approach recognised, and we hope it inspires other companies in the pet sector to think more seriously about sustainability.”
OxyPet’s oxygen-infused spring water is designed to support hydration, circulation and recovery in dogs. It has become particularly popular with owners of brachycephalic, or flat-faced, breeds such as French Bulldogs, Pugs and English Bulldogs, which are known to experience breathing challenges due to their facial structure.
OxyPet was also recently named a finalist in the UK Pet Business Awards for Customer Care, recognising the company’s commitment to supporting and educating pet parents about the benefits of improved oxygen intake and superior hydration for their animals. Drawing on their own experiences with their dogs, the team places a strong emphasis on understanding the real challenges faced by pet parents, offering guidance and free educational resources, as well as access to a growing network of professional pet health supporters.
The recognition from Business Awards UK not only highlights OxyPet’s environmental efforts but also reflects the growing demand among pet parents for products that combine animal wellbeing with responsible, sustainable design.
