A Buckinghamshire pig attraction battered by last weekend’s storms has repaired the damage and is preparing to welcome visitors for a Halloween weekend of squeals and thrills.

The team at Kew Little Pigs Farm in Old Amersham has been busy clearing up and making repairs after the severe weather hit the attraction.

Now, with sunshine forecast for Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, spirits are lifting ahead of its Halloween Extravaganza and adults-only celebrations.

The improved outlook means the farm is preparing to bring out the bouncy castle and light the fire pit for giant marshmallow roasting, while a fully stocked bar awaits grown-up visitors.

Olivia Mikhail, owner of Kew Little Pigs, said: “The storms battered the country last weekend and our farm certainly felt the impact. We’ve been busy clearing up, making repairs and dusting ourselves off, and we’re so excited to welcome everyone for our Halloween celebrations.

“With sunshine forecast, the bouncy castle and fire pit with giant marshmallows are going ahead, and we’ve got a fully stocked bar ready for our adult events too.

“A huge amount of work goes into these occasions, so it means so much to be ready after such a challenging weekend. We can’t wait to see everyone enjoying themselves with the pigs, pumpkins and plenty of spooky fun.”

Families can enjoy two-hour sessions starting at 10am and noon on both days, including a farm introduction and tour, time inside the petting pens and the chance to brush and groom the miniature pigs.

There will also be goats to meet, a Halloween trail with goodies at the end, music and plenty of opportunities for photographs.

Pumpkin picking and decorating will add to the seasonal fun, with visitors encouraged to arrive in fancy dress.

For adults seeking their own Halloween escape, the farm’s Extravaganza After Dark sessions run from 2pm to 7pm on both days.

The over-18s events combine time with the pigs between 2pm and 4pm with music, pumpkin smashing, food and drink, and the chance to gather around the fire for toasted marshmallows.

The celebrations offer a welcome chance for the team to put the storm clean-up behind them and concentrate on giving visitors a memorable Halloween.

Family tickets cost £30 per adult and £20 per child, with infants under three admitted free. Adults-only sessions cost £30 per person.

Outdoor activities remain weather dependent, and pumpkin picking and decorating should be booked ahead, subject to availability.
